Itron - Leak detection theory

Detecting leaks in a water distribution system is based upon measuring sound vibrations that travel down distribution pipes. MLOG acoustic sensors - or loggers - are spaced out along the distribution system adjacent to water meters. These loggers sense any vibrations, record the sound vibrations and pass the data back to the mlogonline deployed and diagnostic parameters set with mlogonline.
