To meet the challenges of the 21st century energy economy we will need a 21st century electric grid.  The relationship between the Utility and the End User will change.  Some of the driving forces in this change are renewable energy, AMI and the Micro grid.  OSIsoft experience with working with customers on some of this latest technology will be presented including challenges and enabling technologies.  The energy mix of the future will include micro grids and technologies that involve the user in operational and performance decisions.
