The Sirocco line of lights are portable, glare-free systems producing higher efficiency and a greater visibility than traditional construction lights. These units provide 360 degree illumination without hot points and because of this unique technology; a person can look directly at the balloon without strain on the eyes. The specialty envelope diffuses the light evenly, producing a daylight effect. Also all Airstar lights are equipped with its patented safety system. This safety system is designed to turn the unit off if the system encounters problems. These units self inflate; and when the balloon reaches 90% air mass inside the envelope the pressure sensor disengages and the lights automatically turn on. Airstar is the only company that produces a unit with a safety system and believes this is necessary to protect the workers from injury and light from damage. If something unusual happen the system will automatically shut down until it can be examined. The balloons internal fan is constantly circulating air, keeping the envelope inflated and the lamps cool.

The Airstar Sirocco 2K, the #1 selling lighting balloon in the U.S. is the only lighting balloon that was specifically designed to mount on pavers and rollers. The balloon contains two 1000W lamps that are spring mounted and suspended inside a protective grid. This patented system allows for the light to withstand greater vibration than competitive units, and the two lamp lighting harness protects from blackout if one of the lamps should burn out. The lamps are also interchangeable and available in different wattages allowing the same light to work with any generators capacity. These quartz halogen lamps are also available in most local retail outlets.

Once set up the light will illuminate 16,200 sq/ft at 54,000 lumens. The Sirocco 2K reflective cover forces all the light into the work zone so the illumination directly under the light at 16’ is 310 lux or 29.1 foot candles. The unit is IP53 rated and the elliptical shape of the cover makes it resistant to winds exceeding 60mph, the highest wind rating in the industry for balloon lights. Transporting the light is simple as the unit fits into a hard plastic carrying case 3.6’ x 1’ x 1’ weighing less than 18lbs. In less than 2 minutes you can deploy the unit from it case, adapt to the mount, plug into your power source and in 45 seconds the unit will inflate and turn on automatically. This unit is so portable that one person can easily set up and maintain. The mounting options available included; two telescoping stands, two sizes of portable push carts, a 15’ telescoping pole mount which allows you to adapt to moving equipment and a truck mount for a receiver hitch.
